HackAI Toronto, presented by Stan: $25,000 CAD in cash prizes, up to $200 CAD in AI tool and API credits, up to $200 CAD towards flights, food and drinks all hackathon long, and several hiring opportunities

HackAI Toronto is back for round three. We're bringing 60 builders to the Stan office in Toronto for one weekend, Dec 4 to 6, 2026.

At Stan, we're on a mission to help creators work for themselves. This round's theme is "people who know you beat the people who you would like to know." Build something that makes people known, not just connected, and demo it live to the room on Sunday.

$25,000 CAD in cash prizes, and first place wins $20,000. We'll also have several hiring opportunities for the most innovative hackers.

What's covered

  • Food and drinks all weekend

  • Up to $200 CAD toward flights if you're coming from outside Ontario

Requirements

What to Build

A working project that makes people known, not just connected. It should run live in front of the judges, ideally on the people in the room. Pick a track:

  • Matchmaking and warm intros: get the right two people talking through someone who knows them both
  • Proof-of-work reputation: a reputation built on what you've shipped, not what you've posted
  • Community memory: help a group remember who did what and who to ask
  • Something we haven't thought of: surprise us

Everything gets built during the weekend. Projects started before hacking begins at midnight on Friday aren't eligible.

What to Submit

By Sun Dec 6 at 11:30am ET, submit:

  • A video explaining your project, 2 minutes max, vertical or horizontal, on YouTube (unlisted is fine), Instagram, LinkedIn or X
  • A link to your public GitHub repo
  • One line on who your project makes known
  • Your stack and the tools you used (fill in "Built with")
